Host Alltime Webinars & Direct Webinars

In tariffs with performance features, you have the option of holding all-time webinars and direct webinars. This is the same technology, but the application area differs significantly.

In both cases, these are webinars in which your contacts can participate without prior registration.

With alltime webinars, you offer your webinars on a very large number of dates and the participants think that they are just coincidentally and fortunately latching into a live stream currently running or the next live stream would start within a very short time. Using the regular appointment function, you can control when the webinar should take place. This offers you the following possibilities:

  • Place ads on Facebook and inform your audience that a webinar is taking place now or within a few minutes.
  • Integrate the webinar into your website and every visitor will think they are lucky enough to have a live stream

In both cases, the participation rate increases significantly as no prior registration is necessary. If you set a Motivated or Compulsory registration (see below), you can also collect valuable leads.

With direct webinars, you invite your contact list directly to a specific webinar date - for example on Wednesday at 19:00. As a webinar link, you do not send the link to the landing page, but directly the link to the webinar room. Since no prior registration is necessary here, you can simply send the reminder e-mails for your webinar to your entire contact list and thus achieve a very high participation rate. This variant is particularly suitable for these purposes:

  • Invite your e-mail list to a webinar without them having to register first.
  • Offer webinar series without your participants having to register each time anew for another date

I) Create an Alltime-Webinar & Direct-Webinar

1. Set up your webinar as usual

2. In the "General" -> "Settings" menu, you will find the section "Alltime Webinar" at the bottom. Define here which setting you want to use for your Alltime Webinar or Direct Webinar:

a) No sign-in: The webinar room is regularly displayed including the side menu. Participants cannot write in the chat and cannot sign in.

b) Allow sign-in: The webinar room is regularly displayed including the side menu. In the right side menu is a button with which the participants can sign-in themselves, in order to write for example in the Chat or to receive e-mails afterwards.

You can customize the button and a small explanatory text in the Webinar Room Editor in the "Alltime Webinar" section. Clicking on the button opens a small sign-in pop-up.

You can customize the content of the sign-in pop-up in the Webinar Room Editor in the "Registration" and "Terms" sections.

c) Motivate sign-in: The webinar room is displayed pixelated. This means that the visitor can see that a webinar is currently running, switching between slides, etc., but must first sign in via the sign-in pop-up to participate in the webinar.

You can customize the content of the sign-in pop-up in the Webinar Room Editor in the "Registration" and "Terms" sections.

d) Force sign-in: The webinar room is displayed empty with a black background image and the participant must first sign in via the sign-in pop-up to participate in the webinar.

You can customize the content of the sign-in pop-up in the Webinar Room Editor in the "Registration" and "Terms" sections.

e) Video only : Only the webinar video is displayed. Chat, downloads, headline, moderator, polls, etc. are not available. However, banners and buttons are displayed regularly.

3. open the "Publish" menu

4. You have two options to make the Alltime or Direct Webinar available to your contacs

a) In the section "Alltime & Direct Webinar URL" you will find the link to the Alltime or Direct Webinar. Here the webinar takes place under the Webinaris domain

b) In the "Alltime & Direct Webinar Embed Code" section, you will find an iFrame embed code for your own website. So you can have the Alltime or Direct Webinar held directly on your own website

The embed code is a so-called iFrame code that can be processed by any standard website building kit. As a rule, a container, field, box or similar with the following or similar designation is available for integration:

  • HTML
  • HTML-Code
  • Code
  • iFrame

If you can't find the right element, in most cases a Google search for e.g. "Insert Jimdoo iframe" is worthwhile (where "Jimdoo" should be replaced by your website construction kit).

Important: Due to the Webinaris server structure there is no technical participant limit for webinar participants. This means that, in principle, any number of participants can attend your webinar without any problems. However, this only applies to the Webinaris structures. As soon as you embed the webinar room on your own website, you have to make sure that your own website server is also designed for the respective simultaneous number of visitors. So you may have 10,000 concurrent webinar attendees (which isn't a problem with Webinaris), but then your own website crashes under the load because it isn't designed for that many attendees. Webinaris has no influence on this. We therefore recommend that you consult your website provider beforehand.

II) This is how e-mails and interfaces behave at all-time & direct webinars

If your visitors sign-in for the webinar, all e-mails will be sent according to your settings and your interfaces will behave according to your settings.

III) How showtimes behave with Alltime & Direct Webinars

The dates you set specify exactly when all-time webinars are to take place. By setting when the webinar room should be closed (in the menu "General" -> "Settings") you define how long visitors should see the current webinar and when they should see a countdown to the next webinar showtime.

IV) Broadcasting on mobile devices

The functionality of your webinars is limited in mobile execution. In particular, this means that the following elements do not work or are not displayed:

  • Chat
  • Viewer list
  • Downloads
  • Tracking-Features
  • Polls

In addition, the various All-time & Direct Webinar settings behave differently on mobile devices:

a) No sign-in: The webinar video is displayed without a menu.

b) Sign-in allowed: The webinar video is displayed without a menu.

c) Motivate sign-in: Visitors first see a registration form. After submitting, they will see the video without a menu.

You can customize the content of the sign-in form in the Webinar Room Editor in the "Registration" and "Terms" sections.

d) Force sign-in : Visitors first see a registration form. After submitting, they will see the video without a menu.

You can customize the content of the sign-in form in the Webinar Room Editor in the "Registration" and "Terms" sections.

e) Video only: The webinar video is displayed without a menu.
